Muslims can offers Eid prayers at home - Kuwait Awqaf Board Fatwa

Kuwait Awqaf Ministry said on Monday evening that it is best to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers at home instead of mosques because of the coronavirus pandemic.




In a statement, the ministry said by phone that the opinions of many Muslim scholars who agreed that "prayers with" rakatin "(two suggested movements) could be performed at home without a post-prayer sermon. Fatwa (Religious Opinion) Department.

In the first type, a worshiper should pronounce six "takbeerat" (statement of "Allahu Akbar") followed by "Takbeeratul al-Ihram" (the opening part of the prayers) and then start reading Surat al-Fatihah.

Secondly, the statement explained that there should be five Taqbirath and then Surat al-Fatihah after Standup Taqbeera.

A worshiper can pray alone or with their family members.
